@thatbrian I’ve got to get off twitter and stop seeing crap like this. It just divides and is so much of a non-issue with everything else that the church is facing in the west. Irritating.
@HonestYPTweets Was really hoping for more “frustration over lock-ins” and “tons of pizza” posts from this account…. You know, youth pastor stuff. Didn’t realize I was getting angsty nit-picky theobro posts.
@Patrick63117986 @ArnitaHeather @kevinmyoung Go check out First Corinthians 5… especially the last two verses. Paul’s approach to insiders vs. outsiders is informing.
@Kdubtru Unless you’re not… and you actually know Jesus so you can be a ambassador yourself of him. And when Jesus referenced OT scripture it was to a Jewish audience who knew how to contextualize.
@JoshBuice 1st: Something is wrong with all of us.
2nd: Criticism does not equal righteousness.
I would bet if Jesus were here today he would be someone that everyone would want to hang out with… except maybe the “religious” people. Wait, isn’t that exactly what we see in the NT?
@ReformedArsenal@ScottAniol I guess it really is the Bible… plus whatever other document I feel holds the same kind of truth and backs up my own personal brand and opinion of my faith.
@ScottAniol That’s extraordinarily simplistic. It ignores teaching to the developmental age of children. And your agenda of placing a 40 minute lecture front and center ignores different learning styles as well.
