A mother dog was set on fire.
The video shows her desperately trying to lick and wake her dead puppy while her body was still burning. Moments later, she collapsed and died.

Three puppies were killed in front of their mother.

‘JUSTICE FOR WANGWANG’: Mother Dog Burned Alive and Puppies Stabbed to Death as Global Outcry Demands New Laws in China

Jeyang, Guangdong, China - A gentle mother dog known to villagers as Wangwang and her three newborn puppies have become the face of a global movement for justice after a horrific act of what you could call "coordinated cruelty." On June 28th, investigators say four minors surrounded the family, and what allegedly happened next is a story of unimaginable depravity.

THE HORROR:
Armed with wooden poles, the suspects reportedly beat and stabbed the three puppies - barely two weeks old - until they were dead. As Wangwang tried to protect her babies, investigators say the boys poured gasoline over her and set her on fire. She screamed as she burned alive, while the suspects allegedly took video so they could boast about it online.

THE SYSTEMIC FAILURE:
Because the suspects are under the age of 14, they have reportedly been sent to a correctional school with no criminal prosecution. This highlights a devastating reality: China currently has no national animal cruelty law. Despite years of public outcry, companion animals have no legal protection at the national level.

THE GLOBAL RESPONSE:
From Shenzhen to Hong Kong, the public is refusing to let this go. Anti-abuse messages are appearing on public screens, and the world is now watching to see if China will finally enact the legislation needed to protect the vulnerable.

CALL TO ACTION:
We cannot let Wangwang and her puppies be just another headline. We must demand that the Chinese government enact national animal cruelty legislation now.

A mother dog and her puppies were subjected to horrific abuse.

The video shows the attackers using a flammable adhesive material on the mother's fur, causing the fire to burn more intensely and prolonging her suffering. They also beat her with a wooden stick embedded with nails, breaking one of her legs.

The video also shows three puppies being killed in front of their mother.
In one of the most heartbreaking moments, the mother dog, while her body was still burning, can be seen repeatedly licking one of her puppies and gently pawing at the puppy, as if trying to wake the puppy or encourage the puppy to follow her. The puppy never moved.

Moments later, after making one final leap, the mother dog collapsed and died.

No animal should ever suffer like this.
We urge the international community, animal welfare organizations, journalists, and everyone who believes in compassion to help bring attention to this case and call for justice and accountability.
