@AndreTI "eat-back" calories are widely discouraged bc most available commercial fitness trackers are wildly innaccurate re: calorie burn. Also, cardio makes you hungry, so if your going to cancel it out anyway it is easier to just not do the cardio and not eat the burger.
@Critical_Scribe Shadow of the Colossus is _actually_ the best game ever made, and it’s just Breath of the Wild with less to do, if we’re being reductive
@David_Jagneaux@LittleNights@IconikHybrid Bakery for life! Praise be to Frank. I too use bakery volumes and bakery with baked specular (monoSH) in my game that came out yesterday on Q3 https://t.co/O3iOy2MbPx
@CultOfRoyal@wildartsdevs One setting has accurate lighting and occlusion, the other you can see a bright specular reflection on the side of a vent that should be in complete darkness and the trash cans are just floating there with nothing anchoring them to the floor, no occlusion from the ceiling light
@rotciVArt Ray tracing didn't take anything from you. Silent Hill 2 Remake is the same as the original, any narratively important mirrors (the opening bathroom, the room in the apartment with Angela) do fully reflective mirrors w/out RT
@benz145 I mean, yes. Lone Echo and Echo Arena were AA/AAA and did ABL long before Gorilla Tag. But you have to design your game around it. It's not something you'd just be able to drop into, say, Half Life Alyx, or Blade & Sorcery. It'd make no sense
@LitLThomas@FinalGoblet It’s very common in many games to decouple the projectile visual, where you show a dummy come out of the gun and the “real” projectile, hitscan or otherwise, cast from the camera and have them reconcile after x meters, and just kill the dummy if a hit happens before then
@thedowd They never show any other characters or dynamic objects in these splat environments because they know the illusion would immediately fall apart.
