JAPAN RECORD HEAT
Record heat never ends in Japan with temperatures approaching the 40C mark.
More important records of July highest temperatures:
36.0 Aomori
38.1 Maebaru
36.5 Koshimizu
35.3 Takatsu
2025 Summer is so far the hottest in history.
With the world looking elsewhere, the militarization of aid adds another layer to Israel’s deliberate imposition of genocidal conditions against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and injured at or near aid distribution points since Israel’s weaponized “humanitarian” aid distribution system was imposed at the end of May.
Families are being forced into an impossible choice: die of hunger or die trying to get food. Seeking food should never be a death trap. Israel must end its genocide and lift the blockade now.

“We are breaking the bodies and the minds of the children of Gaza.”
WHO’s emergencies director, Mike Ryan, expressed his frustration about the devastating situation unfolding in Gaza, stating that the world is allowing this “abomination” to continue
@victorianoi I really like the visualization. Not sure about the colorscale though. Why green? And naming the yellow part "comfortable" is a very subjective choice. Other than that, I think it's a great way to show the data.
This is probably the best way I've ever seen to visualize the climate of a city, and it's great for comparing two cities, like Madrid and London here. Grouping temperatures by how they feel, organizing data by day to get high resolution, and using shading to show daylight hours, all very clever. You can even check specific years. Super useful for planning vacations! Great work by the people at @weatherspark.
