Here is a baby Eastern Box #turtle I found on a trail one day. You can see the little white mark on the bottom of his shell, which is called an egg scar. Hi. Just thought you should know that this thing exists. It's called a pouched lamprey.

No one knows what the, um, "pouch" is for. Maybe males use it as part of some display to woo females.
