@R1chardMaur1ce@PeterSchiff I’m pretty sure you’ve purchased gold and other precious metals and it wasn’t for profiteering or storing value. Gold in electronics and jewelry, silver in solar panels or electrical contacts, platinum for your car, etc… those uses are what give value to precious metals…
@gringo_in_arg they will likely do that later on the year... They still have 1B to go in their current program. They said they want 3B in cash and less than 8B in debt. They have 4.6B in cash and debt is 7.6B During the call they said that any excess will come as buy backs
This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.
This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.
@wsdowns@CoffeyTimeNews Why would somebody invest a lot of money to put a factory in the US if tariffs can be undone easily? That was the only advantage. The announced investments have years in the making, announcements are just propaganda
@mhpholdings @matthewdmarsden@TristanSnell When you have the factories and know-how, is way easier to find a new customer than it is for the US to build factories from scratch. And who is going to work in them? Where I work we struggle to find bluw collar workers, we don’t have enough skilled labor
@wealthmanager@QuintenFrancois Inflation is related to the money supply. Tariffs don’t cause inflation. If the money is fixed and some products increase in price other will fall. To be clear, I’m against tariffs, just wanted to clarify the statement.
@1MarkMoss If China is the problem why put taxes on Canada?
Developed economies should not focus on competing with other economies for low wage jobs. You wouldn’t want the US protecting the horse show industry while the car had been developed.
@immrepublic@1MarkMoss@Bitcoin_Outlaw They were absolutely right. In the past 4 decades government has been stealing the growth potential with taxes and excessive spending. You can’t claim there has been a free market in the US. The only deregulated industry is the social networks and they’ve thrived
@CalebTownsend73@RandPaul You can do that without tariffs… the US does not manufacture enough goods. Even if had all the factories here to do it, there aren’t enough trained people. So, no, buying made in the USA is not an option.
@Chris92100370 @SamuraiElf So, daddy government needs to intervene and put tariffs on, so people can become self-sufficient? Youtube Milton Friedman Free trade producer vs consumer
@ADectis your #1 assertion seems false... taxation was meant to pay for common needs, initially security and infrastructure (world taxes, not the US)
Inflation can be easily controlled. Its definition is the "expansion of the money supply". Don't print money, pfff inflation is gone.
@unusual_whales Are they just realizing that the government can’t be as efficient as the collective mind of the millions of market participants??
Who saw that coming?
