🇲🇽 Mexico's Institute of Digital Education (IEDEP) Data Leak Allegedly Published

A threat actor claims to have leaked data belonging to the Instituto de Educación Digital del Estado de Puebla (IEDEP), a government educational institution in Puebla, Mexico.

* According to the post, the exposed information allegedly includes:
* Full names
* CURP (Mexican national identification numbers)
* RFC (tax identification numbers)
* Residential addresses
* Municipal information
* Postal codes
* Additional reference information

* The actor presents the leak as a direct compromise of the institution and provides links allegedly containing the dataset.

* If authentic, the exposed data could enable:
* Identity theft
* Financial fraud
* Tax-related scams
* Social engineering attacks
* Targeted phishing campaigns
* Student and citizen profiling

* Government and educational institutions frequently store large volumes of personally identifiable information (PII), making them attractive targets for cybercriminals.

* Daily Dark Web has not independently verified:
* The authenticity of the dataset
* The number of affected individuals
* Whether the data originated from IEDEP systems
* Whether the information is current or historical
* Whether the actor possesses the complete dataset

Analyst Note:

The combination of CURP, RFC, and address information significantly increases the risk of identity-based fraud in Mexico. Even when no financial data is exposed, national identifiers can be leveraged for account takeovers, impersonation, and government-service fraud. Organizations handling citizen records should treat such claims as high priority and conduct immediate validation and incident response activities.

Los datos de 640 mil personas que trabajan en los principales puertos del país acaban de ser integrados por cibercriminales en un bot diseñado para doxear a cada una de ellas.

El riesgo es CRÍTICO. No solo se expone la información de la base —que la @SEMAR_mx no ha logrado retirar del foro de ciberdelincuencia—, sino que el sistema perfila a cada trabajador al cruzar esos registros con otras filtraciones (Telcel, INE, entre otras).

It’s called “Recursive Meta-Cognition” and it outperforms standard prompts by 110%.

Right now, if you want an AI to solve a problem, you ask one question. The AI gives you one answer.

If it’s wrong, you never know.

It’s like asking a random person on the street for medical advice and just trusting them..

MIT researchers realized this is a massive structural flaw.

They asked a simple question. What if AI could check its own work from multiple angles before giving you the final answer?

Not just "think step by step."

Actually verify. Score confidence. Flag uncertainty.

They built a framework called Recursive Meta-Cognition.

And the results rewrite the rules of prompt engineering.

Instead of a single, blind output, the technique forces the AI to break a complex problem into smaller pieces and interrogate its own logic from multiple perspectives.

But here is the secret sauce.

It assigns a strict confidence score to every single reasoning path it takes, from 0.0 to 1.0.

Paths below 0.4 are instantly rejected. Paths above 0.8 are trusted. Anything in between? The AI stops and tells you: "I am not sure, and here is why."

No more hallucinations. No more fake confidence.
