I purchased a Ledger Stax from CryptoBilis, a Ledger-authorized reseller, only to discover serious concerns about my device.
What is even more disappointing is the lack of a clear resolution for customers who purchased potentially affected devices through an authorized reseller.
Does Ledger intend to take responsibility for affected customers? Will Ledger offer replacements, refunds, or compensation for those who purchased potentially compromised hardware wallets?
Customers trusted Ledger and its authorized resellers to protect their crypto assets. We deserve clear answers, transparency, and a concrete solution — not silence and uncertainty.
Who will take responsibility for the financial losses and security risks faced by affected customers?

Has your Ledger Stax been tampered with? In this video, I take apart my own Stax, purchased directly from Ledger’s official website, and compare it with photos of a viewer’s suspected tampered device. We look at differences in the back cover, additional antenna, connecting wires, and circuit board.
I also discuss recent user reports concerning Malaysian reseller CryptoBilis, along with an additional communication module suspected of being used to capture seed phrases. I show the process of removing the back cover and circuit board, reassembling the device, and testing whether it powers on. I also point out a jumper wire in the actual device that differs from Ledger’s official reference images and left me with questions.
This video was recorded on October 13, 2026. User reports, unusual components visible in the photos, and analysis of the suspected attack mechanism each require separate verification. The module’s exact functions and the scope of the incident remain subject to further investigation. A visual inspection alone cannot establish that a device is completely safe, and disassembly carries a risk of damaging it.

Has anyone experienced any security issues with a Ledger hardware wallet purchased directly from the official Ledger website?
With the recent security concerns, I’m wondering whether buying directly from Ledger guarantees the device is safe. Has anyone encountered suspicious devices or security problems after purchasing from the official website?
I’d appreciate hearing about your real experiences. Is it safe to buy directly from Ledger right now?

@r0bre I’ve opened up my Ledger Stax, but I’m not sure if everything inside is normal or if there’s anything wrong with it. Could someone help me check?
I’ve opened my Ledger Stax and need help checking whether everything looks normal.
Could anyone familiar with Ledger Stax hardware inspect my photos and tell me if you notice anything unusual, missing components, signs of tampering, or potential security concerns?
I’m concerned about the recent security issues and want to know whether my device is safe to use.
Any help or expert advice would be greatly appreciated.

@wentrre I also purchased my Ledger Stax from CryptoBilis in April 2026. Could you please teach me how to safely open the device and inspect its internal components for any signs of tampering? I would appreciate step-by-step instructions or a tutorial video. Thank you.
