New update by @Ledger 😂
MediaMarkt, a new compromised reseller confirmed in Europe, will stop sales starting tomorrow.
The Donjon is investigating, no worries,
if you were affected please contact our bot support, and remember we will never ask for your seedphrase.
There are more compromised resellers identified, with 0 measures and 0 communication about this.
Meanwhile Trezor said they decided to ‘reduce the number of resellers so they can more effectively check those they work with.’
@OneKeyHQ put almost their entire reseller network on hold and started a full review.
Read this again please:

I don’t know but that’s what I expect from every hardware company at a time like this.
AND LEDGER HASNT DONE IT YET?
How can we accept this?
There are compromised Ledgers all over the world, across different models, and compromised resellers have been confirmed in different countries.
Yet NOTHING is being done, and there is NOT even any communication about it.
Crises are when you see who the real leaders are, and right now Ledger is failing completely.
Never forget.
Update on Ledger devices at MediaMarkt Saturn 🔽
As of Oct. 13th, MediaMarkt Saturn has stopped, with Ledger’s alignment, the sale of Ledger devices in their stores and online while the investigation continues, following the report of an implant from one customer in Germany. No loss of funds were reported.
We have no indication that Ledger's infrastructure, systems or services were compromised. Ledger Support is reviewing user reports, and Ledger’s cybersecurity experts, the Donjon will be examining the devices we receive: https://t.co/QzukOZdEzq.
If you have questions about a device you bought, contact Ledger Support at https://t.co/QzukOZdEzq. Ledger will never call you, message you directly or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase.
Many claims and figures circulating online are unverified. Scammers often try to take advantage of incidents like this. Rely only on official Ledger and MediaMarkt Saturn channels for updates. We will share more as the investigation continues.
BREAKING: 🇫🇷 France has proposed a 31.4% tax on swapping crypto into stablecoins, even when nothing is cashed out.
For example, an investor buys $10,000 of Bitcoin and it rises to $20,000.
If they swap it into a stablecoin, they owe $3,140 in tax, even though they never cashed out.
You live in Germany.
You see the Ledger hack and the devastating leak of the DB of everyone who bought it and think you are smarter than that.
Won't order anything online.
You walk in a Media Markt and buy a Ledger.
Turns out it was tampered with. All your funds are now lost
@lukedewolf Good context.
But as we’re all witnessing, multiple resellers have been compromised all around the world and we still have no idea how deep this goes
Ledgers statement is misleading
I just visited yet another MediaMarkt location to verify whether they had actually ceased selling Ledger devices. As of October 13th at 15:00 UTC, the store was still actively selling and displaying the inventory lol.
When I spoke with a store employee, he was completely unaware of any such policy change and confirmed this was the first time he had heard of it. He noted that the matter was not addressed in their daily morning briefing, their team manager was equally uninformed, and their internal product news terminal had received no updates regarding this situation.
It was only after I brought this to their attention that the staff proceeded to remove the devices from the sales floor.
To be fair, the products were removed from MediaMarkts online shop and its most likely not in ledgers hands how fast mediamarkt is informing each store manager but Ledgers official statement claimed they had stopped the sale of Ledger devices in store as of oct 13th, which is misleading. They should rephrase their statement.
You’re leading nothing Pascal.
Ledger keeps misleading its customers and failing to take adequate action to protect them.
THREE DAYS after a $100M drain, tampered devices have been confirmed across multiple models, countries, resellers, and continents.
And yet, NOTHING has been done about your reseller network.
Why are potentially affected resellers still allowed to operate?!
Ledger should have immediately recalled ALL unsold devices from ALL resellers until their integrity could be independently verified.
Where is the GLOBAL WARNING? Where is the accountability? Where is the action?
Stop hiding behind PR statements and start taking responsibility

@LarkDavis Meanwhile @ohyishi said he’s putting the whole reseller network on hold pending full audit.
This is leadearship.
Only @_pgauthier does absolutely nothing about their resellers.
Act accordingly.
@Ledger_Support I’ll be here to proactively harass your ass until there’s a GLOBAL WARNING for users and ALL RESELLERS ARE PUT ON HOLD AND UNDER REVIEW!!! 🧪
This is no laughing matter, and I hope nobody ever forgets this.
Compromised devices and affected resellers have been confirmed around the world. Yet what has actually been done?
3 pathetic posts on X announcing absolutely nothing, and no global warning to users.
Honestly Ledger’s response to this situation is becoming a bigger concern to me than the hack itself.
Security incidents can happen.
But failing to communicate transparently, warn users worldwide, and take decisive action is a whole different problem.
The breach is one thing.
The way Ledger is handling it is another. And that may be the most troubling part of all.
There shouldn't be any cables. First 3 images show the implant, last image a genuine @Ledger Nano X.
Allegedly affected resellers so far: MediaMarkt, Saturn 🇩🇪, Cryptobilis 🇲🇾, Ozon 🇷🇺 and Singapore Airport 🇸🇬
@Ledger You’re a bunch of fucking assholes.
There have also been confirmed cases of implants found in devices purchased in Singapore and Europe. And you still haven’t shut down all your shady resellers?!
