People with high standards are harder to impress. They have absolutely NO desire to be seen, validated, or understood. They cut people off at the slightest sign of envy, jealousy, or disrespect. They don't leave angry. They leave quiet. And quiet is the most permanent exit.
I’ve learned to stay away from people who bring out the mean, reactive or chaotic side of me. Not because I’m incapable of handling them, but because I know that version of me isn’t who I want to be. If a connection constantly pulls me away from my peace and brings out a side of myself I don’t recognise, I’d rather walk away. Protecting your peace means protecting the person you’re becoming.
relationships don't work nowadays because this generation thinks it's okay to ignore the person and the problem when they're mad, instead of being mature and communicating.
