SITUATION EXPLAINED: Anthropic bought Stainless because agents need rails.
Kong CEO @sonicaghi says the deal is about more than making Claude Code easier to use. Agents need SDKs, CLIs, MCP, and APIs to reach the systems where work actually happens.
"The connectivity infrastructure matters as much as the model... [it] is going to be the digital railroads on how AI moves."
"We're moving from pixels to APIs."
We’re seeing teams evaluating alternatives to Stainless. Companies are looking for a solution that's dedicated to the API developer and agent experience for the long-term.
@buildwithfern, by @getpostman, provides enterprise-grade SDKs and CLIs that are trusted by companies like Square, Auth0, and ElevenLabs.
We’re helping teams migrate from Stainless to Fern, and our engineers are ready to support the transition end-to-end.

We released a collection of production-ready recipes to build with Kong AI Gateway: LLM routing, guardrails, semantic caching, cost optimization, governance, and MCP integration: https://t.co/WLypVmYyAh
📣 Introducing Kong Agent Gateway, a new capability in Kong AI Gateway!
It extends our platform to now cover agent-to-agent (A2A) communication in addition to LLM and MCP traffic.
Combined with Kong's API Management and Event Management capabilities, customers now have a single governance layer across APIs, events, LLM calls, MCP tool access, and A2A communication.

Excited to announce Postman’s @getpostman collaboration with @AnthropicAI!
@claudeai is now the default model in Agent Mode with full context of your workspace, collections, environments, and code. It runs on @awscloud Bedrock for enterprise security and compliance.
We also brought Postman into Claude:
1. Claude Code plugin: find APIs, generate code, run tests, sync collections
2. MCP connector + Skill: live Postman API context into https://t.co/L0QhHR0zGE
Postman is where APIs are built. Now it's where AI-native development happens too.

One month after @Kong Sales Kickoff in LA, we’re increasing sales capacity across every function — SDR, AE, SE, CSM, Partner, and PS — to help catapult our customers into the Agent era. No AI w/out APIs.
We’re hiring across dozens of countries to build the connectivity layer for AI. Link in the comments.
Who will grab the 100 pounds golden gorilla next?
Be part of the AI revolution. Leave a mark by building the digital railroads for the Agent era. @kong just opened 100+ new roles across dozen of countries to help us building the connectivity layer for AI.

A few weeks ago, we shipped the foundation for Astro AI: a declarative spec, a CLI, and a way to package agents as versioned artifacts.
This week, we're opening the doors.
We started sending out early access invites to everyone on the waitlist. The platform they're getting access to is a full end-to-end experience.
- Push a blueprint to the Astro AI registry
- Set visibility (private, public, or scoped to your org)
- Deploy it as a live agent
- View deployment logs, reconfigure, and redeploy
- Monitor real-time metrics (request volume, latency, error rates, token usage, and traces).
And share your agent's trading card with the world.
This is the loop teams at the forefront of agentic AI actually need: create → deploy → observe → iterate.
Agents deserve the same rigor we give any production systems—versioned, observable, and owned.
If you signed up for the waitlist, check your inbox. If you haven't yet → https://t.co/BUDUV69nF8

Astro AI is a production-grade control plane for AI agents that grew out of our own experience building real agents in production at Postman. It makes agents discoverable, governable, and deployable as first-class operational assets inside your organization.
Three problems kept surfacing that we turned into the foundation of Astro AI.
1️⃣ First, data ingestion and tool connectivity are solved problems that every team shouldn't have to reinvent, so we built reusable, composable primitives for connecting agents to internal systems and external APIs.
2️⃣ Second, knowing what's running, where, and under what constraints should be a given, so we built in consistent observability, guardrails, and deployment operations from the start.
3️⃣ Third, the mechanical work of wiring agents together slows down the part that actually matters, so we structured Astro AI to absorb that burden and let teams focus on experimentation, iteration, and shipping to production faster.
The core of Astro AI is an open harness spec: execution graph, tool contracts, guardrail policies, data substrate, observability config, and deployment metadata in a single versioned artifact. A packaged agent is portable across runtimes, model-agnostic, and consumable via HTTP or surfaced directly in Slack.
The CLI is available now to start building. The registry is by invitation and we want your input. Check it out at https://t.co/aDF2cWNoZf.
I have been blown away by the response from customers and developers about the new Postman launch!
The new Postman is AI-native and it is reflecting in adoption. We just crossed more than 3 million developers now using AI and Agent Mode in Postman.
Not just in terms of usage, the rate of new customers buying our paid plans has grown by more than 500% since launch. More than 2/3rds of our new customer cohorts are using AI features in Postman and the rate is only growing.
While we are excited about this, we are working on many exciting capabilities:
1️⃣ Long-running and autonomous modes for agents in Postman
2️⃣ Bringing the right context across thousands of APIs and services and millions of datapoints for the agent to access.
3️⃣ Execution sandboxes for agents to do their work securely.
4️⃣ Simulations to allow agents to know the outside world without touching real APIs.
All of this is possible with the work we have done over the last few months with v12 and the new Postman. If you missed the announcement, you can read it here:
