🇮🇳 My weakness in India is crazy underrated founders from small towns — this is one such story coming out of 𝐇𝐮𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢, Karnataka
Umesh Rudrapatna is a few different things:
• A Bangalorean
• A concerned citizen
• PhD — Imaging — Utrecht University 🇳🇱
• Fellow — Yale School of Medicine
• Worked at @Philips for 18 years building MRI machines
• Moved back to India after 25+ years abroad to build a 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 system— The portable hyperloop for humans and goods
Thanks to @DeshpandeFdtn and their Makers Space in this small town — such startups are flourishing!
🚨 Hubli-based Gridflow has developed an autonomous electric pod transit system prototype, with pods travelling on dedicated guideways.
Their pod is designed to carry up to 4 people or 400 kg at 30km/h, with a 60 km/h full-speed demonstration planned on a longer guideway.
@Theairportguy7 Yes KA has 18 % and it should be reduced to 1-5 % for all Airports in the state (except BLR).
For BLR it can be at current 18 % so that Govt can make some money
For rest of the State 1-5% VAT will be a big incentive to add flights from them and also use them for Night parking
Is any such development happening in our #Hubballi or #Dharwad that anyone is aware of? Because, honestly, I haven’t seen any efforts to develop green spaces or make our streets greener. 🌳
@HdmcHubliDwd, what concrete steps are being taken to make our cities greener?
Dear @fly91_IN, this is a golden opportunity to start flight between Hubballi and Pune. This sector has huge demand and has always received good patronage. Now that IndiGo has discontinued this route, we request you to start operations on this sector.

⚠️Flashback 2019⚠️
Hubballi Dharwad was supposed to get 50 electric buses alongside with Bengaluru (300 buses)
Bengaluru got its share, but we never got our share of 50 buses

Finally, the govt. has accepted what many of us had been flagging for years now - the HDBRTS design has significant design and implementation flaws. Let's not forget, that 5000 trees and 3 water bodies have been sacrificed for the project dubbed as a sustainable transport initiative. And the govt. also did not agree to run electric or CNG buses in place of diesel vehicles. Now, yielding to constant pressure by the people, the govt has floated RFPs to fix the unscientific design. But it appears no more than a patchwork. And the govt. itself doesn't seem to believe in it, as it has also floated an RFP for a tramway on the same corridor. We are in a serious policy doldrum here. It is high time for the govt to think beyond patchwork and conduct studies for a futuristic city-wide multimodal metropolitan public transport system including sub-urban railway, bus, metro rail, etc. and not just for the corridor between Hubballi and Dharwad as the current system does. Some of my inputs carried in todays Deccan Herald.

When a city with less than half the population of hubli Dharwad is trying and making such beautiful circles and trying to make their city beautiful. What is stopping u @HdmcHubliDwd . @JoshiPralhad@MTenginkai@BelladArvind
People have forgot what is traffic rules in hubli Dharwad city and there is not traffic police anytime to even fine them. Some rules need to be implemented to bring traffic rules strictness in city. @HdmcHubliDwd@compolhdc@JoshiPralhad@MTenginkai@BelladArvind
@aaihbxairport@AAI_Official@AAIRHQSR@aairedsr Hubballi to Ahmedabad route had excellent load, yet it was discontinued by IndiGo.
Hubli to Goa, Cochin and Chennai routes also had very good, yet routes were stopped. Pune is also the same case. 6E has some history at HBX.
Despite of very good load, IndiGo has stopped booking for the sector Hubli- Pune- Hubli from 25th Oct. during peak Festive season, in very unprofessional way. Passengers of whole North Karnataka travel to Pune and nearby places with this flight.
