In just one week, the world order is observing potential tectonic shifts:

Indian Prime Minister Modi held back-to-back discussions with Brazil’s President Lula and Russia’s President Putin to deepen mutual ‘#StrategicPartnership’.

Notably, President Lula called after he accused US of “helping stage a coup” in #Brazil and slammed Trump tariffs.

At the same time, Indian NSA Ajit Doval met President Putin in #Russia, confirming Putin’s upcoming visit to India with dates nearly finalised.

Meanwhile, PM Modi has confirmed attendance at this month’s SCO Summit in #China. Beijing has tactically welcomed it amid easing border tensions with India.

Interestingly, #Israel’s PM Netanyahu has offered to assist India counter US tariffs, after Trump reportedly yelled at him over the Gaza issue.

#TrumpTariffs & policies are accelerating BRICS+ cohesion, thereby uniting not just American foes but even close friends. US policies are ensuring America’s fall from pole position and accelerating the formation of a multipolar world order, a tectonic shift.

ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan shared that during #OperationSindoor, Indian satellites played a critical role in supporting our armed forces. These satellites helped track and neutralise drones and missiles launched from Pakistan by providing pinpoint data on their paths.

Dr. Narayanan also said at least 10 #IndianSatellites are working round-the-clock for strategic purposes to ensure the safety and security of Indian citizens.

Just before Op Sindoor, India conducted a very rare and highly sophisticated space defence exercise that involved a ‘dogfight’ in space between a ‘chaser’ and ‘target’ satellite zipping through space at 28,800 km/hour and orbiting nearly 500 km above the Earth. #Dogfight in space between satellites is similar to aerial dogfights between fighter jets in the skies. This manoeuvre was part of the #SpaDeX mission, under which India has already successfully demonstrated docking and undocking of satellites twice.

With these bold moves, India has again proven that it is a #SpaceSuperpower, firmly making its mark in space-based military might.

Hezbollah confirms its chief #HassanNasrallah was killed in a precise Israeli air strike on its headquarters in Lebanon. This comes after #Israel killed or disabled hundreds of Hezbollah fighters after triggering blasts of their pagers and walkie-talkies.

Moreover, Abbas Nilforoushan, the Dy. Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was also killed in #IsraeliAirstrikes. Consequently, apprehensive of an Israeli attack, Iran has transferred its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah #AliKhamenei, to a ‘secretive secure location’ with increased security. Amid all this, Israel has put its military on ‘high alert’ and prepared for a wider escalation.

Bangladesh PM #SheikhHasina completed 2nd #IndiaVisit in a month. It is reportedly said that PM Hasina was keen to visit India before visiting China in July. During the visit:
– Bangladesh joined India-led ‘Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative’ for maritime cooperation in the #BayOfBengal and #IndianOceanRegion
– An Indian team will soon visit Bangladesh to discuss a project to conserve and maintain #TeestaRiver inside Bangladesh. They will explore the scope of financing Bangladesh for it. This offer is highly significant as #China is also eyeing this strategic project worth $1 bn.
– #IndiaBangladesh agreed to start talks on #CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) to advance economic ties.
– India will implement #UPI in Bangladesh, thereby strengthening use of #LocalCurrencies.
– #IndiaBangladesh signed 10 MoUs in the key areas incl. blue economy, #RailConnectivity from India’s mainland to #NorthEastIndia states through Bangladesh, jointly developing a satellite, transporting power from Nepal to Bangladesh through Indian grid, etc.
Agreement over several crucial and strategic issues despite growing pressure from the opposition in #Bangladesh to boycott India again shows PM Hasina as a true friend of India and highlights the deep cooperation the two nations enjoy.

Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi successfully demonstrated secure #QuantumCommunication over 380 km using a standard telecom fibre. It is the longest distance achieved globally in data transfer using Quantum Technology. Moreover, this data transfer is resistant to individual and collective #hacking attacks.

Researchers believe that this Indian discovery can revolutionise the field of #cybersecurity and has wide application in securing military communications, financial transactions, medical records, secret codes, etc., further strengthening India’s global position in #QuantumTechnologies.

#ThirdWorldWar: Israel is responding with full force to condemnable terrorist attacks by Hamas. The Israeli retaliation may turn Gaza into a strip of ruins for harbouring terrorists, as promised by #Israel PM Netanyahu.

Although it started as an #IsraelHamasWar, the real conflict appears to be between sworn enemies Israel and #Iran, which is backing Hamas. With Israel’s very pride at stake due to the barbaric & humiliating attacks by Hamas, Israel may well be forced to attack Iran if the fighting stretches too long.

Besides, this provocation from Hamas and its consequences have a strong possibility of pulling #Lebanon, #Syria and Turkey into this conflict and may also force many other Mideast nations, as well as some superpowers, to take sides, thus widespreading the conflict.

Also, the social #polarization on the religious lines due to this conflict that is surfacing in the Western nations has the potential to cause unrest and riots across #Europe, the US and other places.

In his book ‘The Third World War’ written back in 2006, #DrAniruddhaJoshi has written extensively about the Israel-Palestine conflict and the overall situation in the Middle East.
