Today I’m helping on polling day in Tiverton in Devon where there’s a local council by-election which is a straight Tory-Labour contest.

@SamCoatesSky @carty1888 Contrary to what badge-wearing Lib Dems are saying on this thread, Tiverton, Axminster are towns with industrial heritage, Honiton has a Labour district councillor - and the constituency is Labour favourable. The Lib Dem vote in the SW is a borrowed vote.

Perhaps @ippr could do a report on the disparities between the south west and the rest of the UK?
