1/10 India's deadliest aviation disaster - the Air India 171 crash, killed 260 people. But it didn't just take lives, it also took down people's reputations with it - one pilot was labelled suicidal, the other panic-stricken. But evidence shows neither were.
In my in-depth, long form investigation for @Caravan, I use the plane's satellite transmissions, maintenance records and internal correspondence for a decade between Air India and Boeing -- to show it was engine computer FADEC that was guilty and not the pilots.
At around 08:08:44 UTC, the plane's computer FADEC commanded a fuel cutoff and this is the story of how and why it did so.
I think one of the biggest green flags in both friendships and romantic relationships is being with people who don't make every
disagreement feel like a threat to the connection. I've never understood why some people immediately jump to "maybe we should stop talking," "maybe we shouldn't be friends anymore," or "maybe this relationship isn't working" whenever conflict arises. It creates an environment where people become afraid to be honest because every difficult conversation feels like it could be the last.
A man in Brazil claimed he needed to save his four children during a severe flood, rescuers later discovered he was actually rescuing his four dogs left at home
In Chinese schools, artificial intelligence now reviews homework by scanning notebooks, grading assignments automatically, and printing feedback that highlights errors.
#Assam: Minister Bimal Borah has shared a fascinating glimpse of one of natureโs most effective camouflage experts, the Buff Tip Moth. When at rest, the moth closely resembles a broken piece of stick, making it almost impossible to spot in the wild. Found across Assam, the #Northeast, and many parts of India, the Buff Tip Moth is celebrated for its extraordinary ability to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.
Someone used Anthropic's Claude to find their ancestral land in rural India.
The land records existed online, but across multiple government portals in dense legal Hindi.
The kind thatโs incredibly difficult to navigate unless you regularly deal with revenue records.
Hereโs what Claude reportedly did almost end-to-end:
๐ Searched land records using the ownerโs name
โจ๏ธ Typed Hindi names using the onscreen government keyboard
๐ Identified all linked Gata Sankhya (plot numbers)
๐บ๏ธ Opened cadastral government maps for each plot
๐ Detected that the coordinates were UTM instead of standard GPS lat/long
๐ง Suggested creating a workflow to capture polygon vertices for all plots
๐ Converted the coordinates into usable GPS locations
๐ Generated a KML file containing all plot boundaries
๐ Uploaded everything into Google My Maps automatically
Final result:
25 ancestral land plots mapped as navigable polygons on Google Maps.

Reminder that China has 1,000 WTE plants. India is at 21.
India generates an estimated 200,000 tonnes of garbage daily. It only burns 20,000 tonnes so 10%. The rest go into landfills / waterbodies and rot for decades.
We generate about 150 MW of energy from WTE.
China generates 800,000 tonnes dsily and has built up capacity to handle 1 mn tonnes.
It generates 25,000 MW.
Even if the top 25 cities in India burn 90% of their trash
1) our cities will be immeasurably cleaner
2) ground / air pollution eliminated
3) generate a lot more power.
