Just to be clear, as so many retarded Canadians don't seem to understand: I don't care if 13 year olds can't access social media.
I care that we adults will have to identify ourselves and have our activity tracked by a totalitarian government.
Fuck sake, Canadians are stupid.
This is the wildest World Cup story yet. If someone in Toronto sells a ticket above face value they get fined $25,000 yet the city of Toronto bought 3,500 World Cup tickets early and then sold them to taxpayers at a markup as a “revenue generation strategy.” What the hell man.
These programs:
- Canadian Tech Growth Fund: $500M
- Compute Access Fund (SME): $700M
- LIFT (BDC financing): $500M
Will exist in the same way everything else does.
They will be rife with councils, middle men, gate keepers, and long procedures that will result in large companies who can navigate the bureaucracy benefiting from it, while startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators failing to access it.
We shouldn't be celebrating if @cohere gets funding from this.
We need to celebrate when pre-seed and early-stage companies that can generate revenue are being successfully subsidised due to innovating and taking risks.
We can't fix the country when only 5% of funds actually make their way back to the people that are establishing these markets instead of incumbents.

Drake doesn’t use a lot of double entendres, he uses puns, homophones & homonyms word play. An example of an actual double entendre he’s used is “Last year I had Drama girl, not right now”. There’s two interpretations from the same word: actual drama & DJ Drama’s girl.
