@BarstoolNate Yup, had a whole offseason and reinjured it after just 6 quarters of action. Not really seeing how one extra week now will magically help things. The lack of urgency with this regime is always concerning to me.

@Wiz_Weekly There won’t be as much active tanking, but there’s still the issue of the regular season being meaningless due to having 2/3 of the league make the playoffs. Basically an 82 game preseason.

@MichaelVPina As a wiz fan I’ll sadly concede that I believe the rumors that ownership stepped in and gave a playoffs mandate for this season. But I think there are scenarios where the roster still works out nicely to thread the development/win now needle.

@davidaldridgedc The long term begins and ends with ownerships willingness to spend. But in the shorter term it feels like they’d only make this move if the plan was to have him around next season, no? Otherwise I don’t get the timing of it.
