@TGTM_Official While the message about censorship rings true, this is out of context. Scanners are largely security theater to reassure parents, and phone bans are to curb gaming addiction.
@bullymadesay@catheri73716105@muheediva01 I can use that chart to calculate the % likelihood of an Asian becoming a victim of violence when in the presence of 100 random Black people vs 100 random White people. It won't look good. We're talking similar numbers, but one is divided by 210 million, the other by 51 million.
@bullymadesay@catheri73716105@muheediva01 Look at the numbers. Asians as a whole are 6.5% of the US, which is roughly half of the population of Black people. Yet, the number of Black on Asian violence is 17x the number of Asian on Black violence. That says to me Asians in the US are not seeking out Black people to harm.
@bullymadesay@catheri73716105@muheediva01 I'd say most Chinese, and most Asians in general, don't hate Black people. Now, they may harbor quite a bit of discrimination, as in have a preference for avoiding Black people due to the likelihood of trouble. Hate is something else, it's actively attacking/undermining someone.
@muheediva01 Black on Asian violence is close to White on Asian violence, despite the Black population being less than 1/4th the size of the White population. On the other hand, Asians perpetrate comparatively very little violence against Black people.

@bullymadesay@catheri73716105@muheediva01 According to official stats from 2017-2021, cases of Black-on-Asian violence has been nearly on par with cases of White-on-Asian violence, despite there being far fewer Black people. For comparison, the green box is the cases of Asian-on-Black violence.
