Exercise saves lives! 💖🔬
More cardio (walking, running) = lower risk of disease & death 🚴⛹️♂️
Independently, more strength training (squats, push ups) = lower risk of disease & death 🏋️♀️🏋️♂️
Independently, more sedentary time (sitting, reclining) = higher risk disease & death
@BrianSuttererMD@IanMcMahan It’s like going on Rogan’s podcast. Most people know it’s scientifically bankrupt but will willingly go on and agree wholeheartedly because it ups their social credit score.
@GregLehman@l_giangregorio It is very hard to have strong opinions on things (heavy >> light, exercise > manual/modalities, spinal flexion = injurious) if we’re being honest with the body of evidence given the weak/non-existent signals in the current body of literature.
@l_giangregorio@GregLehman Not enough characters on X to state they failed to reject the null hypothesis that (light) home-based resistance training was different than (heavy) center-based resistance training wrt preservation of muscle mass and strength in older individuals, 6 months after trial ended
@l_giangregorio@GregLehman yes, but isn't the burden of proof on the "must be heavy" crowd? This study doesn't eliminate that possibility but it certainly doesn't pick up that signal either.
@drbogash@Lorenzo7127@GidMK Sigh. Thimerosal is not even used anymore any it contains ethylmercury, not METHYLmercury like in fish. Same diff between chloride which will kill you and sodium chloride which is necessary for life. This has been studied and verified six hundred billion million times.
@drbogash@Lorenzo7127@GidMK James, what in the dickens are you talking about? You say, literally, “personally, I believe that the vaccination is the trigger for the development of autism and not the only factor”. Word for word. It’s completely unreasonable given the overwhelming evidence.
@drbogash@Lorenzo7127@GidMK Are you kidding? It’s pretty clear, the assertion that vaccines cause autism on your website where you are a purported health expert who reads 120 peer reviewed articles per month. You’re completely off base here and makes else you say suspect.
@drbogash@Lorenzo7127@GidMK But here’s the problem. You’re entirely too predictable, you don’t need to comment on childhood vaccination. Everyone knows most chiros are anti-vax, and to be fair- this is only because we use your own words against you, “Dr”
@axios This is confusing. At least in CA and WI, status quo is that you have to scan your membership card every time before you check out and your picture pops up for verification.
@hubermanlab Would you please stand up for vaccines at at a time like this? Doesn’t have to be COVID, could be polio, etc. There is so much depressing “gotchya!” floating around trying to negate decades of evidence and saving actual lives
@PeterHotez Twitter is such a cesspool. I am shocked that you haven't blocked all replies from only people you follow given the daily level of filth sent your way. Anyways, thanks for working hard and committing your life to saving lives, especially the neglected diseases
