Weizmann Bilim Enstitüsü liderliğindeki uluslararası bir ekip, uzayda yaşamı tespit etmeye yönelik devrim niteliğinde istatistiksel bir yöntem geliştirmiş. Çalışmayı, hakemli Nature Astronomy dergisinde yayımlamışlar.

Bu yeni yaklaşım, geleneksel yöntemlerin aksine, canlı maddeyi büyüterek (kültürleme ile) tespit etmek yerine, moleküler grupların istatistiksel çeşitliliğini analiz ederek biyolojik izleri tanımlıyor.

Böylelikle uzay araçlarının kısıtlı ekipman taşıma zorunluluğunu aşmayı hedefliyorlar.

Bu yenilikçi istatistiksel modelin, 2030’ların başında Jüpiter’in uydusu Europa’ya gönderilmesi planlanan İsrail destekli "Eureka" uzay aracında kullanılması hedefleniyormuş.

Bu çalışma, NASA’nın Viking görevlerinden bu yana yapılan en radikal yaklaşımlardan biri olarak görülüyormuş.

Uzmanlar, bu yöntemin "ölü" yaşam kalıntılarını bile tespit edebileceğini söylüyor. Bu sayede, biyolojik süreçleri gözlemlemeye dayalı eski ve belirsiz deneylerden çok daha güvenilir sonuçlar vereceği öngörülüyormuş.

Misyon, Europa’nın yeraltı okyanuslarında olası bir yaşamı hedefliyor.

Uluslararası iş birliği, ileri veri bilimi ve astrobiyolojinin birleşimiyle Güneş sistemimizin ötesindeki yaşam arayışında yeni bir dönemi başlatmayı amaçlıyorlar.

We mourn the loss of Sergeant First Class Guy Ludar, 21, from Yuvalim, a soldier in the Maglan Unit of the Commando Brigade, who fell during combat in southern Lebanon.

Even after his death, Guy gave life to others. His organs were donated to save lives.
He was a gifted young man who touched everyone around him, spreading light and joy wherever he went.

We send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Tal Haimi z”l, a third-generation member of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, was a lover of life and pillar of the community. Tal loved to work on the dairy farm in the Kibbutz and was also a mechanical engineer.

Tal married his high school sweetheart, Ela, and the two have four beautiful children. It was just three weeks before Tal was killed that the couple learned that they were expecting their fourth child.

On October 7th, Tal went out to fight Hamas terrorists that infiltrated their Kibbutz as he was part of the rapid response team. He was subsequently murdered that day and taken into Gaza.

Tal will be remembered for his heroism and caring nature. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and be there for anybody around him. He was a selfless man, committed to his family and his Kibbutz.

Alain Destexhe, who worked as a doctor with MSF (Doctors Without Borders) in the 1980s before serving as the group’s secretary-general in the 1990s, said the organization moved away from its impartial, humanitarian roots.
"Well, it would have been impossible at the time when I was secretary-general of MSF to be as biased as it is now in Gaza. We were defining ourselves as a neutral, impartial and humanitarian organization. I think now MSF in Gaza is really taking the side of Hamas and against Israel.”

Destexhe uncovered several social media posts on accounts belonging to MSF staffers appearing to celebrate the Oct. 7 massacre. Destexhe explained to that much of MSF’s staff in the Gaza Strip are Palestinians, not foreign workers.

Destexhe also noted in his interview that MSF was echoing the sentiments and statistics of the Gaza Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas. This included the swift condemnation of a blast that occurred at Al-Ahli Hospital.
While it was later discovered that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian Islamic jihad rocket that misfired, MSF neither corrected nor deleted its condemnation, which is still available on X.

"MSF is lying, MSF is partial, MS is biased and MSF are accomplices of Hamas," Destexhe said.

Remembering Inbar 💔🎗🕯

Inbar Haiman was a graffiti artist who studied and taught art out of a deep love for creation and for people.

She loved to help, to bring light, and to leave color in the world.

The color pink was her symbol, PINK.

On October 7th 2023 she was murdered at the Nova festival and her body was taken to Gaza.

After two years her body was returned and laid to rest in Israel.
Her graffiti can still be seen across many places in Israel, a lasting memory of her light, her beauty, and her kind heart.
