Here are my observations from my first few days in Crete:

From the moment we landed through all the excursions, from the hotel to the shops on the streets, the restaurants, and everything in between, we’ve met Israelis, French, Spanish, Greeks, Poles, Ukrainians, Americans, Canadians, two Argentinian families, and even a few Russians.

But what we haven’t seen so far in 3 days, not even a single one, is any Muslims.

And you know what?

Crete is safe, beautiful, fresh, clean, calm, hospitable, vibrant, and most importantly, peaceful.

People of the world enjoying themselves and sharing in magical moments, sights, history and breathtaking scenery, and not a single Muslim anywhere.

Churches abundant. People walking around with crosses, the few Star of David’s, charms, smiles, and laughter.

It’s almost as if Crete knows something that the rest of the world doesn’t quite grasp. They’ve found that secret the rest of the world are too afraid to admit. And there is no apartheid. No signs forbidding anybody of any race, religion or creed. It’s just bliss on an incredible island.
