one of the hardest parts about getting older is grieving over the paths you aren't taking in order to go down the ones that you choose. by avoiding committment you keep more paths open but never see any path to its end. essentially you lose access to depth. the problem for a lot of people is not having the courage to choose and face the rewards/consequences.
