TBC is now the Digital Infrastructure Network. More than a new name, it reflects who we’ve become—serving the convergence of AI, data centers and digital assets
The leading Texas-based technology association founded to represent a growing emerging technology sector is broadening its mission as the infrastructure behind the digital economy rapidly changes.
Effective today, the Texas Blockchain Council is now the Digital Infrastructure Network (DIN), reflecting an expanded mission across artificial intelligence, data centers, energy, advanced computing, quantum technology, fintech and digital assets.

It was an honor to serve as moderater of the “Data Centers in Texas: Power, Policy, and Prosperity” panel at the TIE Forum, hosted by @digitalinfranet. The day has been filled with vital conversations about responsible solutions to support the future of Texas’ technological advancement.
Luxor Energy, the energy division of @luxor and @BentausOfficial report that their Ziani platform cut a live GPU's power draw to 25% of normal in under 500 milliseconds, while inference workloads kept running. It's the first demonstrated AI GPU response to an ERCOT 4CP signal.
Why it matters: ERCOT's Four Coincident Peak program rewards large loads that pull back during the grid's highest demand intervals each summer (June through September). Until now, AI data centers have largely sat outside that conversation as fixed, inflexible load. This result suggests that doesn't have to be the case. GPU fleets could become active participants in market programs, not just consumers of power, with real potential to lower transmission costs.
Congrats to the Luxor Energy and Bentaus teams on a genuinely useful proof point for grid-aware AI infrastructure.

@Leishman@River This is a good reminder that custody is not a slogan. Whether someone chooses self-custody or a regulated platform, the work is education, operational discipline, and calm decision-making under pressure.
Texas did not become the jurisdiction of choice for technology, innovation, and energy by accident. It happened because the people writing policy understood what it takes to build here, and because the market knew Texas would take infrastructure seriously.
That is why the addition of State Representatives Cole Hefner (HD-5), @FairlyForTexas (HD-87), and @JaredLPatterson (HD-106) to TIE Forum matters. Each sits close to key policy decisions shaping AI regulation, data center growth, and grid reliability. They also influence balanced AI adoption in K–12 education, educator and student coexistence in a digital age, quantum ecosystem development that attracts companies to Texas, and the incentives that determine where employers and capital choose to invest.
On August 21 in Austin, join us to learn how hashtag#Texas keeps policy and infrastructure moving at the speed of hashtag#AI.

As Chairman of the @PUCTX, Thomas Gleeson sits at the center of one of the toughest balancing acts in the country right now: keeping the grid reliable while demand from AI, data centers, and a growing population accelerates faster than anyone predicted.
That's exactly the kind of conversation TIE Forum was built for — not policy in the abstract, but the people actually making the calls that determine whether Texas' infrastructure keeps pace with its ambition.
Thomas joins a growing lineup of grid operators, legislators, technologists, and national security leaders all in one room, on August 20-21 in Austin.

🎇 Happy 4th of July from the Texas Blockchain Council🎇
250 years ago, a group of bold thinkers dared to build something new: a nation founded on freedom, self-governance and the idea that legitimacy comes from the people.
That idea didn't stay in 1776 and Texas has always been the place where freedom gets put to work. Our energy, our land, and our people are building the infrastructure that are putting Texas at the center of the digital economy.
Freedom isn't just something we celebrate once a year. It's the foundation that lets builders build. And in Texas, that means powering the grid, securing the network, and leading the next chapter of American innovation.
Happy 4th of July, America. Here's to freedom and everything it powers!
Texas Blockchain Council Executive Director @TBC_Jessi appeared today on @wfaa regarding the @PUCTX upcoming vote to change the process of bringing new connections to the state's power grid.
The Batch Zero process moves away from piecemeal, company-by-company studies toward a single, centralized review process, a change that could bring real order to how data centers and bitcoin mining facilities connect to the Texas grid.
We support smarter grid planning that gives Texas businesses the certainty they need to invest and build. Texas leads on energy. Texas leads on innovation. The TBC will keep pushing to make sure the rules that govern our grid reflect both.

Today, the Texas Blockchain Council sent a letter to Governor Abbott thanking him for his leadership and for outlining a framework that seeks to protect Texas ratepayers, strengthen grid reliability, promote responsible resource management, and ensure Texas remains the nation's leader in advanced computing and energy innovation. @bradj_TX@GregAbbott_TX
