We had been saying for sometime. This was the plan all along! Slowly kill BEST from within and then monetize BEST depots. The reason why buses were reduced, wet lease was encouraged, private bus operators were given preference is because the aim was always to unlock the BEST depots, prime property across Mumbai. We have already seen what happens when you give away BEST depot land in places like Mahim - the number of bus services are no longer as they used to be in the area, many bus routes have changed. They want to do this now across the city! This is just murder of BEST!

WHAT E20 CRITICS WON'T BE TELLING YOU.
1) E20 was made available for all 25 million petrol cars and 20 crore plus scooters in April 2025 last year.
2) In 2024, A year before that E19 was made similarly available.
3) About 3 years before that in 2021 E15 was introduced.
So for 5 years these vehicles have been running on E15+ blended petrol. By now we'd be seeing CARS / TWO WHEELERS STALLED AT EVERY TURN IN THE ROAD.
And if that were happening wouldn't insurance companies have increased their premiums? Wouldn't the 2nd hand petrol/scooter market have collapsed? On the contrary India's used-car market is exploding, outgrowing new-car sales to reach annual volumes of 6 million units. Valued at over $40 billion, the sector is projected to double to nearly $70–$82 billion by FY2031.

Yet another example of lack of communication from the govt about missing link and Mumbai Pune express way closure. Gave no information at Atal setu entrance from Mumbai side, allowed people to cross Atal Setu, slammed them with 250rs toll and then asked them to go back to Mumbai, so that is another 250rs toll in reverse direction. 500 rs for not being able to go to Pune.
One wonders, is the govt itself here to scam its people?
