American economist Jeffrey Sachs claims he's 99% certain that COVID-19 originated not in China—but at the University of North Carolina in the United States.

He says this conclusion comes after more than four years of deep investigation into the virus's origins.

According to Sachs, critical information has been deliberately kept from public view, and there’s no global government capable of regulating the manipulation of dangerous pathogens.

While most debates have focused on bats or a lab leak in Wuhan, Sachs is pointing the spotlight in an entirely different direction.
