Thank you to everyone who joined us at Stripe Sessions this year!
More than 10,000 attendees for the first time.
We had a ton of fun putting everything together and are very proud to support everything that you are building.
Q1 earnings are in: 2026 is off to a terrific start.
Our AI investments and full stack approach are lighting up every part of the business: Search queries are at an all-time high with AI continuing to drive usage. Google Cloud revenue grew 63%, Gemini models have incredible momentum, and it was our strongest quarter ever for consumer AI subs, driven by @GeminiApp.
Thanks to our partners + employees around the world. Much more to share on our earnings call in 20 minutes… and at Google I/O in 20 days!
I'm excited to share that https://t.co/71Omxjf8e1 has raised a $3.3M pre-seed round, led by @ResoluteVC to build the AI-native layer between business goals and work.
Most AI today is doing execution work in a vacuum. Without your goals, metrics, and live progress in the context window, you get motion without alignment -- it's the missing link in a lot of AI deployments right now.
As AI drives down the cost of execution, the bottleneck shifts to strategy, coordination, and alignment.
That’s the gap we’re building Brev to close.

I've been a remote worker for ~6 years, like many people. After working more in person that past few months, one thing I really took for granted was the ability to record and transcribe all my conversations. It has been so useful to leverage tools like Granola. I'm way more present in meetings and I can save all the notes, follow ups and transcripts and turn them into real systems.
Now that I'm spending more time in person I keep running into the same problem. We're at lunch or on a walk and the conversation is really good. We're solving a problem or brainstorming a new idea. And somewhere in the middle I think: shoot, I wish I was recording this.
But, as far as i know, there isn't an easy way to do it. You can pull out your phone and hit record but that just feels awkward. Great way to kill the vibes and conversation.
Feels like hardware is going to solve this in the next few years. Some small device that's unobtrusive. You just say, "cool if I record this" and that's it. The whole conversation is captures and all the work can flow from it. You could probably start taking action on it with agents before you even leave the table.
Exciting times!
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! @jptksc has joined @OpacityHQ!
We worked together at Plasso a decade ago, he's done some incredible stuff since then. Now we're back working together, and he's already started building some incredible stuff!
Welcome to the team, Jason!
Big news! @bashrw has joined team Opacity!
We're incredibly excited to be working with such an amazingly talented person. Rick is joining as a core engineer, and is already working on some amazing stuff for you all!
Welcome to the team, Rick!
At @OpacityHQ, we are not building a design tool. We’re also not dependent on AI.
We are creating a new way to build production grade software.
Let me explain :)
Platform
Our platform includes 3 major aspects:
- Design (Canvas, Components)
- Logic (App code)
- Deployment (Infra, Hosting)
This is our platform. The new “GitHub” for visual builders. Where design IS code, and there isn’t even ever a design->code translation step at all.
It’s collaborative, and has native git-like functionality built in. PRs, branching, etc.
None of the above relies on AI.
AI
You can also employ AI agents (using your favorite models, or our model) to build/design with/for you, directly inside Opacity.
Unlike (all?) other AI product building platforms, Opacity’s AI is deterministic. We don’t let AI write code. We use its intent to programmatically generate code. So you always get expected, stable outcomes from prompts.
Design
We believe design should remain a separate artifact from any one single codebase. And that people should be able to design freely on a canvas, manually or with AI. Those designs should be portable to any number of separate projects.
Designers should be able to collaborate with each other and AI with PRs, and branching. Design is currently in the stone age, and it’s beyond silly we don’t have this yet.
Opacity
It makes building software automated in all the right places, and also lets people create freely and manually.
Make no mistake, one of our goals is to have the best design canvas out there. But the Opacity team is made up of folks that like to build. We want to DEPLOY our designs.
Today’s tools only address one half the equation (either design or engineering). Opacity merges design and engineering, and is the single source of truth for software teams.
As design and engineering merge, most people will not care about writing or reviewing code. So they will not want to be on GitHub. Where can they go? Opacity.
Honestly, I’m most afraid how we’ll communicate the novel-ness of Opacity to market (you), when we go to market. But we’ve got some time to figure that out :)
