it’s not all interesting. in fact the attention is entirely engineered. it made it to WPRI via EIN Presswire, which is a paid press release distribution service. i could pay $149 and find myself on local news too.
It is interesting to see how much attention this story is receiving.
Rhode Island has a strong manufacturing, shipping, logistics, and industrial backbone. When political conditions change and a $100 billion Cuban market opens, and I believe it will, I want Rhode Island workers and businesses at the front of the line.
Not an afterthought. Not left behind.
At the front of the line.
While others talk about Rhode Island's economy, I continue to build the relationships that create future opportunity in the meetings I had today in Cuba. That is what leadership looks like before the door opens, not after.
My focus is simple.
Create opportunities for Rhode Islanders. Build trade relationships that benefit American workers. Support the Cuban people's right to freedom and prosperity.
And ensure that when history moves, Rhode Island moves with it.

TRAMPLING THE FIRST AMENDMENT
Coastal Conservative News covered the Iryna memorial rally at the Rhode Island State House on May 12, 2026. During the event, CCN interviewed Ray McKay, a U.S. Army veteran and Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Rhode Island. McKay sharply rebuked city leaders for forcing the removal of the private tribute, calling the censorship a literal "trampling of our Constitution" and a dangerous assault on American free speech.
the AGI outflow has been elevated but steady for years. no one looks at a trend that peaked in 2021 and concludes it was caused by a law that took effect in 2023. this is not a serious reading of the data.
@dimooch My reference to "adults" and "children" was an emotional/knowledge label. But I'll give you an A for effort. You seem confused by your own simplicity. MA lost a net $4.2 billion in AGI from outmigration in 2023, 1st year of Millionaire tax. The short term gain... (cont.)
he's just riffing now. the money is not evaporating. FY26 is projected to take in more than each year before it. he's also claiming a loss the data can't yet prove. the IRS hasn't released a millionaire filer count for the year the tax took effect.

notice the pattern here. an official makes a claim the data doesn't support. when pressed, five anons run distraction without addressing the core claim of the challenge. these are not adults following data. they are workshopping content as they work backward from a conclusion.
Fed will soon reverse QE to halt inflation, just as RI deepens its recession. Thus, as banks reduce small biz lending, RI Dems want to hit owners w/a tax hike. In a recession.
= Big unemployment.
Recall RI spent $400M on UI claims last time. Far more than any wealth tax will see.
