Bengaluru: Namma Metro's 7.5-km elevated Pink Line from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere has completed three-day statutory safety inspection by CMRS, conducted from Oct 6-8.
The six-station corridor will expand Namma Metro's operational network from 96Km to 103Km.
Opening is subject to compliance with CMRS observations & conditions.
@OfficialBMRCL
Karnataka govt is showing unusually high urgency for Hebbal short tunnel project. Wish Metro & suburban rail projects had received even 10% of this urgency.
This is heartbreaking. 💔How have our roads become so unsafe that every journey can put a life at risk? Who will protect us? Do our leaders even care? We need safer roads, proper footpaths, crossings and accountability — not action only after another tragedy.

@kdevforum@MALimbavali@GBAChiefComm@krishnabgowda So sad to see this. Citizens r fined for every non-compliance. But authorities and politicians get away even after people die. What kind of injustice is this?
@kdevforum@MALimbavali@GBAChiefComm@krishnabgowda .@MALimbavali .@krishnabgowda this is the city's busiest junction today and it is completely out of focus for you all. If GBA and state govt don't take immediate action things will only get worse and more people will die and the reason will be administrative apathy!
🧹 Footpath Cleanliness Drive | Bilekahalli
Bengaluru South City Corporation undertook cleanliness and maintenance activities along the footpaths in Bilekahalli, ensuring cleaner and safer pedestrian pathways for citizens.
Hundreds of residents of Haralur Road & surrounding areas in Kasavanahalli Ward 31 held a peaceful 'Walk for Better Haralur' on October 2, highlighting civic and infrastructure issues.
Residents flagged irregular garbage collection, open waste burning, sewage overflows, choked drains, potholes, road bottlenecks and broken footpaths. They demanded time-bound action on roads, daily garbage collection, improved waste management, UGD connectivity, drainage & protection of lakes.
Sewage overflow since Ganesh Chathurthi and continuing still even after Gandhi Jayanthi
Escalated to bwssb but they are unable to address this issue
Thanks to them - now all potholes are clearly visible and helping people avoid them. #FixHaralurRoad@comm_blr_south@MALimbavali@krishnabgowda
The 12th Main footpath in Indiranagar is fixed!
It ain't pretty but functionally it's better. Fewer holes/bumps/obstacles.
Thanks @Virendra0698 for taking such an active role in this upgrade.
In 2027 this will be dug up for the 12 Main revamp, following Tender SURE standards.
This is what normalisation looks like.
When broken roads, garbage, missing footpaths and unsafe public spaces become “just another day,” we stop demanding better.
It shouldn’t be normal. Haralur deserves better. Bengaluru deserves better.

Kindly take note of the expedited speed at which repair work was carried out at Indiranagara in GBA East.
We expect the same zeal and dedication to carrying out repair works on Haralur Road!
