@stationmum101 Checking the 3+ obnoxious apps the schools make us use is the only way to have any idea about what is going on in school. Most of the school messages get lost among the 100 other notifications I get a day from every other app on my phone. It’s a massive pain in the arse!
@SimonCotter62 Guaranteed it’ll be from the hospital or police station. And will involve some sort of obnoxious app, and reams of forms. Very easy to do when you have emotionally disturbed kids screaming at you from dawn to dusk.
@dialdfordan@newscomauHQ Exactly what I do- if I need immediate treatment, I just pay for it. Kind of like at the dentist.. because you can’t get decent dental cover that offers more value than the premiums anyhow. I’m still ahead either way given how rarely anyone in the family ever has a major problem
@Random__Dents@newscomauHQ Btw.. were you the one who buggered up the SAP payroll implementation at ANSTO, or were you the one who fixed it? https://t.co/1ucMD2o1NV
@Random__Dents@newscomauHQ people like us have no real idea what being actually stony rotten broke and destitute is like in reality. We’ve observed the “poor” kids at the public schools we went to..but have zero real insight into poverty
Middle class welfare is a bourgeois excess in our society.
@Random__Dents@newscomauHQ Ok, so which is it? You are either a payroll officer working for big corporate who is probably just as poor as me, or you are a nuclear scientist?
I can tell you, the scientist wouldn’t be allowed near the payroll run…
@Random__Dents@newscomauHQ A million tax returns?
No. you haven’t!
Not even close. You’ve only lived 359,160 hours so far… including sleepy time.. and your childhood.. If you were any kind of accountant you wouldn’t have made an outlandish claim.. that’s so easily debunked. Total cobblers.
@Random__Dents@newscomauHQ Yep, do actually. As soon as I got married, and had kids, there were zero tax benefits either. Admittedly, as a single, it was cheaper. I had low level “queue jumping” insurance for public hospitals. Saved me a couple hundred lousy dollars a year.
@ExpatTrading @GeordieBeeBo @newscomauHQ Nope. You’d die in a private ER from major trauma.. and live in a public one where there are invariably more experienced and dedicated doctors.
This is the truth about Live Sheep Exports and Animals Australia. What they did was unconscionable.
This is a MUST WATCH from Rick Wilson MP.

AUS gov paid 49k for a basic literature review. With rich pickings like this, no wonder KPMG and other their consultant cronies were addicted to having their snouts in the public service trough of gold! contract, and report is in the link below. #auspol#kpmggate#taxpayersmoney
Activists always tout the work of Pegasus Economics (funded by Animals Australia) which downplays the impacts of a live sheep export ban.
The analysis has now been discredited by.... wait for it... Pegasus Economics!
They admit that their work was "far from perfect" in a new FOI. Didn't stop them getting a $49k government contract though.
I hope Animals Australia kept the receipts. I'd be asking for a refund.

@AdamCoffeyNT We use solar powered pumps & they’ve survive some very wild weather so I’m not sure why large scale projects wouldn’t. What annoys me is that some people spread misinformation about toxic solar panels but forget that we farmers have 1000’s of them 2 pump water cheaply.
Gravity causes bodies on Earth to fall towards the ground; however, the alpine ibex seem it doesn't care at all
Its herbivorous diet is lacking in calcium salt, so it typically climbs dams' steep walls to reach deposits of mineral salts from the stones

@SerkanTheWriter What’s the marginal material cost on each of the dishes? Mince meat isn’t cheap. How many a day do you recon you need to move to just cover suppliers and payroll?
