Ouch.
Mamdani to @C_Sommerfeldt: “Chris, did you recently get married?”
CS: “No. Oh, I know you did.”
ZM: “I just saw your wedding ring, and I've never seen it before.”
CS: “No, it's been like a decade… Are you always trying to throw me off before I ask you questions?”
The Mamdanification of the discourse has been insane lol. Half of the viral posts about him these days are straight up stolen valor from Hochul and the other half are “omg politicians can just do things” about some policy that like 20 other dem states have already been doing.
The underperformances of Abdul El-Sayed and Francesca Hong suggest that the Democrats are going to have massive electoral problems if they just embrace the socialist revolution trying to capture their party. There are clear and obvious vulnerabilities with these candidates and they are struggling to match their polling hype when people actually show up to vote.
Francesca Hong’s loss in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary is a win for the Democratic Party and a win for America.
The Democratic Party must unequivocally condemn and reject the anti-American bigotry of the DSA and embrace a positive platform for building a better future for all Americans.
@RitchieTorres Glad to see you standing against this DSA nonsense. Bronx working class Hispanic and African-American voters are not on board with DSA politics.
@MichaelCameronz@RitchieTorres 😄 Dream on. The area of the Bronx that @RitchieTorres reps is mostly working class Hispanics & African-Americans, not white DSA libs. People here like Torres. That DSA crap isn't flying here.
Pakistani Maryam Khan has won the election in Connecticut for State Senate. Another DSA-endorsed Muslim.
Despite being 1% of the US population, an estimated 30-40% of all winning DSA candidates this election cycle have been Muslims. A bit weird, don’t you think?
