BREAKING: 22-year-old Shehroze Kashif has made history as the youngest Pakistani to summit all 14 peaks over 8,000 meters, completing the feat by scaling Shishapangma today! From Broad Peak at 17 to this incredible milestone, he’s shown the world what determination looks like!
@sajidumar As @TheTherapistUK mentioned, Shaykh @AbdullahHasan has been doing great work in this field as well. Would love two of my teachers to collaborate on these matters for greater impact. 🤗
@sajidumar The dependence on labels, drugs, & giving up one's responsibility by blaming something/someone for your problems instead of making positive life choices is increasing as a result.
As I told one client, you've been in therapy for 10 years, repeating the same story, ask for refund!
While therapy is a crucial tool for #mentalhealth, it’s concerning that it seems to be recommended for almost everything these days. It feels like every challenge is being diagnosed, and common struggles are being turned into disorders.
I fully support therapy—when it’s done right—but also have noticed (my own observation) how it’s becoming an industry that thrives on turning everyday problems into issues requiring continuous care.
In life, and I mean normal life, not every bad habit is a disorder! Sometimes, they’re just bad habits...and they don’t always mean we need to revisit the past or spend a lot of money on therapy. Often, what we need is improved will-power, a strong support system, clear boundaries, or just a more capable rule-book.
And let’s be real—it’s totally fine to indulge in that moist chocolate cake now and then, and feeling a little guilt afterwards is natural, not a disorder...
Not everything needs a label!
What do you think? Can we find the #balance between therapy and #selfcare?
