@Wookietron9000 That makes a lot of sense, but with a family, that is hard for me to do.
I typically do a lot of reading during these downswings (provided I don't swing too far down).
I’ve been on a slow downward spiral heading towards an inevitable crash. My lows aren’t what they once were (due to lots and lots of work), but they still suck fat donkey dick.
Waiting to be ready can actually be fear holding you back.
There's no right time to begin something new. We often put things off hoping for the perfect moment.
There will never be a perfect time.
Create the time & give yourself permission to make mistakes along the way.
@Wookietron9000 I had a similar experience, but I never thought of them described as anchors (which perfectly sums up their existence).
It takes continuous work, but I am finally conscious of the poison they infest my well-being with and strive to let them go—and now I have a name for them.
Forgive yourself.
Every day if need be.
Except yourself for who you are and work on the parts you don’t like.
Continually beating yourself up perpetuates a life of self-hate and allows no room for progress.
