The editors at Maclean’s regret using her photographs in this manner and apologize to Ms. Dives for the damage incurred.

If they’re not shut down, volunteers should be able to run the Victoria pop-up for three days over the course of the week, and the Nanaimo pop-up for five days. Patients who use drugs were made aware of the sites before they opened.

Smaller, covered tent is a pop-up space for people to use substances in a private setting.

#NEW: Doctors trying to set up volunteer OPS outside Royal Jubilee Hospital told to leave hospital grounds by security and Island Health reps. Docs say this is a life saving intervention that’d also address in hospital drug use.
