The Bombay High Court has restored the food licence of Pune's popular Pind Punjab restaurant after a fresh FDA inspection found it to be 100% compliant with food safety norms. The court observed that once all deficiencies were rectified, the earlier suspension automatically lost its effect.

The restaurant's licence had been conditionally suspended by the FDA Pune Division on June 23 following an inspection. After a fresh inspection on July 8 confirmed full compliance, the High Court directed that the pending appeal be closed. Pind Punjab resumed operations on Thursday evening.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE

✅ Traffic has resumed on the Pune–Mumbai Connecting Link Road. Vehicular movement has been restored after completion of extensive safety operations.

Despite relentless monsoon conditions, including heavy rainfall, strong winds and low visibility, MSRDC teams worked continuously to ensure the route could be reopened safely.

The following measures were undertaken:

- 🚧 Debris was cleared from the affected stretch.
- 🚜 The carriageway was thoroughly cleaned using specialised equipment.
- 👷 Technical experts carried out detailed inspections of Tunnel 2 and the adjoining slope to ensure no loose material posed a risk.
- ⚙️ Drone surveys were attempted; however, dense fog, heavy rain and strong winds restricted aerial operations.

Traffic has been restored only after the required safety and technical assessments were completed.

Commuters are requested to avoid non-essential travel during the ongoing heavy monsoon and to strictly follow traffic advisories issued by the authorities.

MSRDC remains committed to ensuring safe and reliable travel for all road users.

Need clarification on two points regarding PNR 4139002538, Train 22691 Rajdhani Exp, DOJ: 23-Jun-2026 (Bengaluru–Nagpur).

1) During ticket checking, the TTE asked me to accompany him to the pantry coach, where there were no other passengers, and explained that I had to pay an additional ₹7,035, which I did not understand. When I started recording the interaction for my personal safety and future reference, I was told that I could not record videos. Is a passenger not allowed to record interactions with railway staff in such circumstances? If recording is permitted, kindly clarify this to staff.

2 ) My original fare was ₹3,589.05. While booking, I mistakenly entered my age as 1 year instead of 24 years. This was a genuine error, and even if I had entered 24 years, the fare would have remained exactly the same, as I did not avail any concession or discounted fare. I also carried valid government ID proofs matching my name and identity. Despite this, I was charged an additional ₹7,035 as "WITHOUT TICKET", taking my total travel cost to ₹10,624.05. Is this charge in accordance with Railway rules?
