@cmcalgary Because I can ride for free for weeks (no peace officers) they need a way to ensure revenue.

@cmcalgary Because you buy it and only activate it if you see a transit peace officer. So return trip or few is only one ticket. You can’t buy or validate a paper ticket if you are already on the train but you can activate a pre-paid before they get to you on the car.
