A signed settlement must be honoured-not kept waiting.
The 12th Bipartite Settlement explicitly recommends a 5-day banking week. With 24×7 digital banking already powering transactions, it’s time for implementation.
Respect agreements. Respect bankers.
Implement #5DayBankingNow
Bank employees are the driving force behind banking growth. Fair reward and better work-life balance are reasonable expectations of a modern workforce.

If 5-day banking is the norm across most BRICS members, a simple question remains:
Why should Indian bank employees continue working on Saturdays?
India leads in digital banking and 24×7 services-can’t banking workweeks evolve too?

> When executives receive the incentives, they are called the performers.
When targets fail, the pressure comes down on Scale I–III officers.
But if thousands of officers across the country stop work for three days, suddenly everyone realises how important the field staff are.
Then a simple question to management and @DFS_India: if Scale I–III officers are so easily replaceable, why can’t the system run without them?
This strike is not just about three days. It is about policy failures, unequal rewards, excessive targets and unequal accountability.
The public sees only a bank holiday.
Bankers see the inequality inside the system every working day.
Maybe it is time to ask:
Who gets the rewards? Who carries the pressure? And who is actually keeping the banks running?
That is the conversation worth having. 🖐️
