A true joy to spend 90 minutes tonight with Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame coach John Mielke, talking hoops. Sometimes chance meetings create the best conversations. #wisbb
After more than 50 games broadcast this basketball season and thousands of words written, my season wrapped up tonight with the state championship. Thanks, hoops season, and thanks for the memories. @thescorewi@whby@Bound_wi@LUvikings

@TravisBOUND (going into gravely old-man voice...) "And back in the day, we had to shovel off the field and courts so we could get frostbite during the first practice. And we were grateful!" 🙃
@RobDemovsky On the upside, all the shoveling meant I didn't have to work out at the Y the past two days. Mother Nature took care of that part right here at home. (Cardio, weight training, high-intensity intervals - all at once!)
@jimmiekaska@TitanTVSports You’re right, Jimmie. We appreciate the ones who care. Always happy to help the next group coming up who take the time to do the prep work.
@CoryJennerjohn Get out your charge card, Cory. Those places charge rental fees these days. I miss those places, too, except the Brown County Arena locker room area (water stained, falling ceiling tiles) and the scoreboard guaranteed to go out at least once during the three-day run.
@CoryJennerjohn@JimmyJoeOskola One has to do with the lack of outstate D1 schools in western and northern Wisconsin. Another is this eternal outcry to make the state tournament “NCAA Lite”. Until recent years and 5 divisions, it was a geographical focus early.
