Se fue Pepe.

Y no es solo la muerte de un expresidente. Es el final de una forma de estar en el mundo que ya casi no existe.

Un tipo que pudo ser millonario, pero eligió ser pobre. Que estuvo 13 años preso, 7 incomunicado, y no salió a buscar venganza. Salió a sembrar diálogo. En el barro, en la chacra, entre perros y libros. Sin discursos marketineros. Con silencios que pesaban más que muchas palabras.

Pepe fue un estoico moderno. Un "neo-estoico". No por moda, sino por práctica: vivía con lo mínimo, asumía el dolor sin dramatismo, aceptaba lo inevitable y hablaba de la muerte como quien habla del tiempo. Le puso cuerpo a ideas que muchos solo postean.
No necesitó trajes. No necesitó poder. No necesitó demostrar nada. Gobernó con lo que tenía: ideas, calle-estaño- y , paciencia y una ética que a veces era incómoda hasta para los suyos.

¿Contradicciones? Miles. Como todos. Pero tenía lo que escasea: coherencia. Esa rara forma de pensar, decir y hacer en la misma dirección.
Mientras otros se sacan selfies por todos lados, él regaba tomates. Mientras otros facturan con charlas vacías, él hablaba de amor, de muerte, de límites. De vivir con menos para ser más.
Se fue un referente. Un tipo que no hablaba de revolución: la vivía. Y que no necesitaba que el mundo lo aplaudiera para sentirse en paz.

Pepe ya no está. Pero si algo queda de él, es la certeza de que se puede hacer política sin traicionarse.
