Tremendous metabolic heterogeneity exists in congenic #PancreaticCancer clones isolated from Kras;p53 mice, impacting circadian function.
As an aside, the clones isolated by @BenStanger01 are an invaluable resource for studying tumor heterogeneity across multiple dimensions.
https://t.co/bpicwyg7O9 Super happy to announce the culmination of a super fun and interesting project! TL;DR we observed an inverse relationship between the metabolic profile and strength of the circadian rhythms in cancer cells; which could aid in therapeutic interventions.
Happy to share the first paper from my postdoc! We studied cancer cells, but fundamentally this story is about how energy production by the cell can impact its sense of time.
