@KingAriPress Please explain how “Grace abounds” explains why God has to remind Himself daily in order to make grace abound to us.
It sounds as if God by His nature would not normally be grace-full or loving without a daily reminder not to destroy every living creature (humans and animals(.
@KingAriPress That doesn’t answer my question. Why does God need to remind Himself daily to be loving and full of grace? Is He so forgetful that He would stop loving us and stop being merciful and full of grace without a constant reminder of what He had promised thousands of years ago?
@Scrappssss@MemeRtPolitics@toddstarnes … so much that He sent His Son to die for us? Even with all that love, He needed and continues to need a rainbow to remind Himself not to destroy all loving creatures?
@Scrappssss@MemeRtPolitics@toddstarnes So, all of us, the image bearers of God, the pinnacle of His creation deserve so much divine wrath that God has to remind Himself daily not to destroy every living creature on Earth - not just all of humanity but every single living creature as well?
Even though He loves us
@disoriented_dad@SInow It does mean they want people to hide and feel ashamed because they have never felt any kind of romantic or physical attraction to someone of the opposite sex, and they only want a romantic relationship with someone of the same sex.
And when other people equate Pride nights to
@MemeRtPolitics@toddstarnes The all-loving God had to put the rainbow in the sky in order to remind Himself basically daily never to destroy all living creatures on Earth ever again.
That’s not quite the flex you think it is.
@RealBrittHughes@MLB An employer issued an official warning to 3 employees who violated the company’s Uniform Policy by making unauthorized alterations to a piece of their required, official uniform.
Employees could have called out or asked to change schedules.
Fans could have simply not showed up.
@In_The_Game@RobSchneider@MLB Maybe he had the option to not play that night or to wear another cap.
Adding a verse to the cap is against MLB rules & his employment contract. That’s not opting out.
So, you want to treat everyone fairly & with respect, unless it makes the majority uncomfortable?
@MemeRtPolitics@RobSchneider@billysandytodd@MLB The rainbow is God’s reminder to Himself to not destroy all living creatures ever again. The reminder is for Him, not for us.
Why does God need to remind Himself not to destroy all living creatures?
@disoriented_dad@SInow Furthermore, I think it is interesting that Genesis says that God put the rainbow in the sky in order to remind Himself never again to destroy all the living creatures on Earth. The omniscient loving Creator of all needs to be reminded not to destroy everything on Earth? How odd.
@disoriented_dad@SInow What is upsetting is someone going out of their way to alter a team hat (which is against MLB rules) and to use a Bible verse which is normally used by people to state that the LGBTQ+ community should be forbidden from using any depiction of a rainbow for any reason.
@mameroncason@mattdorsey@SFGiants 4 (cont). They could not be penetrated by anyone else. Paul prohibits men being penetrators of men and men being penetrated by men in 1 Cor 6. We don’t know if he meant all men, or just free adult men.
@mameroncason@mattdorsey@SFGiants 4. What Greek and Roman culture did recognize was that sexual penetration was a reflection of hierarchy and structures related to age, social class, gender, and enslavement. Free, adult men were the penetrators. They were allowed to penetrate adolescent boys, slaves, and women.
@mameroncason@mattdorsey@SFGiants 3. Greek and Roman culture at the time did not apparently recognize the existence or even the possibility of monogamous, consenting, adult male romantic relationships. We cannot say Paul condemned “homosexuality” when that concept didn’t exist.
