Stop Starving Gaza: Civil Society Leaders Call Urgent Press Conference Demanding Canadian Government Take Action Now.

CMPAC, alongside over 45 organizations from across Canada’s humanitarian, faith-based, health, and human rights sectors, sent an urgent joint letter today to Prime Minister @MarkJCarney @CanadianPM and Foreign Affairs Minister @AnitaAnandMP. The letter calls on the Canadian government to act immediately to end the deliberate and systematic starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, where over half a million people face catastrophic food insecurity and child malnutrition rates have doubled in recent months.

The letter urges Canada to uphold international law by demanding full humanitarian access, supporting neutral agencies like UNRWA and the WFP, and calling for a permanent ceasefire. This is a defining moral moment. Canada must act now to help avert famine and protect civilian life.
