Medicine was never meant to be inherited, purchased, or negotiated.

It was meant to be earned.

When students become doctors without merit, the degree loses weight before the stethoscope even touches a patient. Seats bought with money, influence, or shortcuts do not produce healers. They produce technicians with authority and without depth.

A medical college is not a real estate project.
An entrance exam is not a formality.
And a patient is not a training dummy.

Merit is not elitism. Merit is safety.

Every diluted admission today becomes a misdiagnosis tomorrow. Every shortcut in training shows up as hesitation in an emergency room. You cannot fake pattern recognition, clinical judgment, or moral responsibility. The human body exposes incompetence fast.

Medicine demands memory, discipline, humility, and years of intellectual suffering. If someone could not earn the seat, they will struggle to earn trust. And trust is the real currency of this profession.

A society that tolerates non-merit doctors is quietly accepting preventable deaths.

Doctors are not created by certificates.
They are forged by competence.

Anything less is not compassion.
It is negligence dressed as opportunity.

Heard the former Chief Justice of India say in an interview that ’people should not expect the judiciary to perform the role of opposition’

Not at all. No one is foolish to expect the Judiciary to do the Opposition’s job.

The country only expects the judiciary to do its OWN job - without fear or favour and with the Constitution being the only leading light.

It means not ducking on tough decisions

It means not turning a blind eye as the govt rides roughshod over civil liberties

It means taking into cognisance when the biggest corporate scam is brought before you and a regulator makes a mockery of the judiciary by getting away with ‘drawing a blank’

It means not letting students and activists languish in jails without trial for years just because they chose to speak truth to power

It means not allowing a witch hunt by an authoritarian regime against elected representatives

It certainly means not allowing an entire nation being dug up by some zealots leading to communal tension and tragic deaths

It means taking a stand against illegitimate lust for power where democratically elected governments were being toppled and parties were broken with unimaginable money and brute power

It means restoring the full statehood to J&K which was dismembered to a Union Territory

It means assuaging concerns and apprehensions by decisively addressing the CAA drafted singularly against one particular community

It definitely means allowing the Constitution and the constitution alone to be your most sacred text and guiding light at all times, and NOT allowing anyone or anything to matter more than that
