Breaking rules in The Game of Life is arguably the point of that boardgame, and not the same as taking that "cheat" action IRL.

You get closer to your desire without social impact.

Killing players in a shooter like CoD just means you outcompeted them for a higher score. They exit to a spawnpoint/loading screen for their next match: small penalties.

While playing shooters does not correlate with physical violence, their social impact seems more complicated.
