@jonathanhUK@Empiricist871@LundukeJournal The eventual goal here is running modern drivers for modern hardware. It's a windows reimplementation. If it didn't run windows drivers what would be the point honestly
@illystray Fun fact, Assets(.)zip includes a file with hashes for all the files in it, and the game will complain strongly when it's not there, however it seemingly doesn't verify any of those hashes since i didn't update the changed textures
just loaded a hytale texture pack on the client by hooking `open` and pointing it to a different zip than assets.txt beause i'm not even gonna touch nativeaot RE & this works, pack by @illystray
excuse the flicker at the start obs is having a day today

@CommanderRedEXE@OMG_HomerSimpso@stupidtechtakes That's not true, developers can enable a compatibility mode that will allow you to play online normally. See dead by daylight for example. Apex also used to have this on but it is essentially a free pass and doesn't really do anything, so most developers don't wanna turn it on
Anime studios should collaborate with Arc system works to learn from them
Yes, these are 3d models. Hell, this is rendered in real time. Imagine doing this in blender, touching it up with some grease pencil. cgi in anime could be so goated
A show produced by ENGI has way better CG character animation than a show produced by Madhouse. Why does it feel like we're taking 10 steps back in CG usage
@BrickBruce67460@GodsLibtard@BoundaryBreak we were doing basic things like hiding LOD transitions, making hair look good, ambient occlusion, etc just fine for ages. Now in UE you have shitty dithering for LOD transitions that rely on TAA smearing, hair that breaks down without it, flickering shadows, etc
@GodsLibtard@BoundaryBreak It hides cheap development practices. So much on modern ue RELIES on smeary TAA to hide some flaw with their implementations of basic effects that were done fine 10 years ago
@GodsLibtard@BoundaryBreak Because everything uses temporal accumulation now. Unreal engine is a big offender of this, TAA with way too many past frames that end up smearing things to hide how noisy they actually are, like lumen shadows, reflections, hair, etc. And of course causes ghosting
@Twitmarxist @haveaniceday_gg @Tmc0610 this isn't to say that he can't eventually get there. Goku tops out around the ability to destroy multiverses in the manga, while saitama has shown the ability to get up to galaxy level, so it definitely could happen! I think it's much more fun to view it like this
@Twitmarxist @haveaniceday_gg @Tmc0610 also, a lot of people do lol, it's a big community of people trying to calculate the feats of anime characters and pitting them against each other to figure out who is theoretically stronger. I think it's a fun topic :)
