@ThinkingBone If nothing comes to mind, turn your attention to a quality you like about yourself. Is there an ability or strength within yourself you can recognize? If still nothing comes to mind, reflect on the primal urge toward happiness within you, and the rightness and beauty of that.
@ThinkingBone Call to mind something you have done or said that you feel was a kind or good action—a time you were generous, or caring, or contributed to someone’s well-being. If something comes to mind, allow the happiness that may come with the remembrance.
@ThinkingBone The following exercise from Sharon Salzbergs book 'lovingkindness' has been very helpful for me learning to feel worthy of metta. Ill give an abridged version that contains the gist:
@chercher_ai That’s interesting. To me the non separateness feels more like a corollary to anatta, but I see your point.
I would say all of these things like dukkha, anicca, no self, etc point to emptiness, and no self is to me a useful lens that is definitely distinct from non separateness.
@ThinkingBone@nickcammarata If I’ve learned one thing from meditation it’s that actions with body and mind have appropriate consequences. If you’ve come this far, why would progress cease now?

It saddens me to see Andrew Huberman's Wikipedia page attacked in a politically-motivated way to remove most of his scientific accomplishments and to add misleading statements like: "Huberman appeared on programs that frequently platform health misinformation". This is a dishonest misrepresentation of a legit scientist and one of the best communicators of science in the world. @hubermanlab deserves to be celebrated not slandered. He is a truly special human being, who is doing an invaluable service for the world.
the most valuable skill in the world is systems engineering:
the ability to debug, understand, and improve a complex system with limited/poor measurement
THIS is what makes great scientists, engineers, PMs, operators, doctors & investors
not truly taught in school outside STEM
