You pay taxes on the already taxed money, and when you go to spend the balance, you pay taxes on that expenditure.

The companies receiving your expenditure pay taxes on those sales. And when they pay their employees, those salaries are taxed too.

It's like monopoly but you pay $2,000 when you pass go!
