Still waiting for any investigative journalism outlet to write the piece explaining how and why every single country in Eastern Europe and Japan overnight decided to begin mass-importing low-wage laborers from the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia sometime in 2022-23.
@juliazniv “How do you keep yourself occupied”
^allows the person to answer however they choose, w/o narrowly focusing on work.
Also, it allows you to steer the conversation.
Do you ask them more about their response, or find out why they answered the way they did?
My discovery formula and sales process for my mid market (40-100k) and SMB (10-40k) deals goes like this:
1. Current state: Tell me about how you are doing it now? Have you looked at a solution like this before? (And follow up questions)
2. Opinion on current state: How do you think it’s going with the way you are doing it now?
3. Go/no go question: Given what you’ve told me about the current state, we can help in x, y, and z ways, are you even in a place to consider making a software change if we can solve those in an impactful way for you?
Then it’s a short demo (10 mins) helping them see the main two problems we solve and offering to connect their data for custom demo and getting that set.
Second demo with connected data I either try to close if the value is there or I push for a 15-30 day trial where I attach to measurable goals.
Note:
- never any slides.
- This is far off from the official process I was taught.
- there’s no “pitching”
- it’s low pressure
Best advice I got in my 20’s, from my old man:
“It’s easy to be selfish when you’re trying to figure things out. But what really matters in life is how we show up for the people we love in their moment of need.
It’s certainly what I remember - whether people were there for me when I needed them. So how do you want to be remembered?”
I have observed that we often overlook perhaps love's most profound characteristic: its silence. Two lovers sitting together. A mother watching over her sleeping child. A friend who sits beside you in your grief, offering not empty consolations but the gift of their presence.
Still no statement from Rich Handler.
This was preventable. Jefferies knew.
There are 4 people responsible.
I have received screenshots of texts from Carter to his friends that prove it.
His friends and coworkers have shown evidence that proves that this was preventable and driven by the culture of Jefferies and specifically by 4 people.
These four people know who they are and each individual needs to make a public apology for their actions.
The three of you and Rich, do as he says and “be a good person” and apologize before it gets worse.
Blood on your hands.
I lost my dad 11.5 years ago & probably the hardest part is my dwindling memory of him.
It makes me sad that even though we were inseparable for 20 years, I only have a few memories left of him that I can truly visualize.
