@ChrisPalmerMD Blessed words! @ChrisPalmerMD couldn't agree more. Everyone is telling me exactly that as we are enrolling for our NQ Dietary Intervention Trial. I may relay your answer
🧠Mind over matter?
@JCUMedDent's @doncaloger0 explained the differences between the 'placebo' and 'nocebo' effects on ABC's Queensland Northern Drive program yesterday.

@BBCFood Thank you @nicknorwitz for an excellent summary of the latest science on the subject. More and more evidence is accumulating by the day, that what we eat affects our mental health significantly.
There is a difference bwn 'I'm on Keto' and nutritional ketosis, a metabolic intervention that - if done carefully under specialist supervision -is emerging as a powerful potential treatment for bipolar disorder, as well as a range of other neurodevelopmental disorders.
This is all true. But what is "a healthy lifestyle—eating well and moving more." Emerging evidence suggests that nutritional ketosis, not just any "diet," can actually send bipolar disorder into remission (as it did for our son.) His story and research at https://t.co/ZdcZy9YnOF
Here is an inspirational report from a participant in the first diet trial of keto for mental illness since 1965 run by @ShebaniMD at Stanford. In his own words: "Keto Saved my Life." #KetoForMentalHealth#MetabolicPsychiatry

Very interesting! I wonder how cultural factors translate into criminal law defence in the various jurisdictions. Is culpability diminished in some cases? E.g. In honour killing, capacity is preserved, unless stress deriving from cultural conflict leads to definite mental illness
Interesting keynote from Chief Psychologist at Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, Dr Majeed Khader, on transcultural understandings of distress & extreme mental states, & application in law and psychology. E.g. 'Dang-Ki' is a ritualised healing ceremony in Singapore. #ppl2019
