JKIA, Nairobi:
Jibril Abdirashid Haji, @ HonJibrilAHaji the deputy prime minister of the federal republic of Somalia arrived at Terminal 2 of JKIA on June 24 at about 1600Hrs aboard Saacid Airline flight from Mogadishu.
Haji presented a valid Somalia diplomatic passport & a valid Kenyan Visa during routine clearance.
However, immigration officials suspected he had fraudulently acquired a Kenyan Passport in which he admitted possessing but declined to surrender it to authorities, insisting that he could only produce the document before a court of law.
Following the interrogation, Haji was detained at the VIP Lounge within Terminal 2 as immigration authorities possessed the matter.
He was subsequently issued (deported) with a ticket aboard Daallo Airline Flight D3301 for his return to Mogadishu.
Haji departed Kenya on June 25 at 0645Hrs.
