@SenWarren When you see the news on this and immediately say "Elizabeth Warren will be bitching" and it's literally the first post you see lol. What a useless woman.
@Meta Do you truly think privacy downgrades were a smart decision on an already disconnected app? It's just a bloated ad machine as it is and people no longer connect. Farewell, I'll only miss my "on this day" moments but enough is enough.
@AltriaNews Flavored vaping will be regulated. You won't stop it. What will your excuse be then? You care about the bottom line where we as the actual industry care about public health. Keep selling those cigarettes though!

So, Over 26 Million PMTA's for US companies get "Arbitrary and Capriciously" rejected from FDA. FDA says "China bad" after almost a decade. FDA approves flavors. China is "secretly" told to submit new PMTA's. 2 million are submitted. FDA says to bankrupt US companies GET F'N REKT
@SenTomCotton Perfect example of politicians that do zero homework and blindly believe lobby money propaganda. It's far too many of them out of touch with the people they are suppose to be representing. I don't even use the stuff but sick of the lies from these clowns.
Today, FDA published a Federal Register notice finalizing the addition of 18 constituents to the established list of Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents (HPHCs) in tobacco products.

When the USPSTF considered studying the effectiveness of smoke-free alternatives, they folded upon the slightest pushback from tobacco control.

Who actually gets pizza delivered at this cost? Holy shit! It can't just be @dominos thinking it's still covid lockdown. Add a tip and it makes zero sense unless pickup.
While recreational smoking and vaping is not advised, many people use short term vaping as a way to quit smoking cigarettes, which are arguably more toxic than vapes.
During his 2024 campaign, President Trump made a clear promise on Truth Social: “I saved Flavored Vaping in 2019, and it greatly helped people get off smoking. I raised the age to 21, keeping it away from the ‘kids.’ ... I’ll save Vaping again!”
He warned that the Democrats wanted to ban everything and kill small businesses across the country.
Yet now, under Trump-appointed FDA @US_FDA Commissioner Marty Makary @DrMakaryFDA, the agency has rolled out new guidance that makes it much harder for flavored vaping products to stay on the market. The FDA says flavored vapes, including fruit, candy, and sweet flavors, pose a “substantial risk to youth” and are more appealing to kids than plain tobacco flavors. This guidance is being called a de facto ban on flavored options for adults who can make the choice themselves when it comes to vaping or not vaping.
The move ignores strong evidence that many adults use flavored vapes to quit traditional cigarettes. Additionally, CDC numbers show youth vaping has been dropping, hitting its lowest level in years.
Trump’s promise was straightforward: protect vaping as a tool to help smokers, support small businesses, and keep it away from kids. Many voters counted on that promise being fulfilled, but it appears the FDA isn’t complying with President Trump’s wishes.

Ranting doesn’t help, but just feels...right. Rare to see me priced away but this is a HARD pass to another increase. Have a feeling there will be a lot of us "cutting the cord 2.0". It's been real @netflix @netflix_usa
The FDA will continue to deny approval to the most popular flavors smokers use to quit smoking.
"The agency said that it would consider vapes in flavors such as mint, coffees, teas and spices, possibly like clove or cinnamon. The F.D.A. said it would continue to reject those offering sweet or fruity flavors that are more appealing to teenagers."
@FDATobacco is still ignoring 480,000 adult smoking deaths to "protect" youth from a slight possibility of nicotine addiction (1.4%).
